Belvoir, VA Wednesday, November 14, 2001 (tentative) The Defense Logistics Agency is a logistics combat support agency whose primary role is to provide supplies and services to America's military forces worldwide. Their 28,600 (as of April 2001) skilled and dedicated civilian and military staff work around the clock, in all 50 states, about 28 countries, at over 500 sites located close to, and partnered with, customers and suppliers. DLA's mission includes managing over four million consumable items and processing more than 30 million annual distribution actions. IT Budget: Approximately $648 million Hosted By: Information Assurance Team The Information Assurance Team mission is to assure DLA's operational readiness for the warfighter by providing for the continuous availability, confidentiality, integrity, authentication, and non-repudiation of its information, information systems, and networks within the Defense Information Infrastructure. Target Audience: Management, LAN and Web Administrators, Information Systems Security Officers and Directors, Employees from Defense Threat Reduction Agency and DTIC will also be invited.
