Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District is seeking contractors to research, develop and produce two broadcast quality videos suitable for airing on the PBS television network and to educate/inform the public regarding the Corps mission. The work would involve scripting, on-location shooting, editing and mastering of two 30 minute video episodes: the first tells the story of the Missouri River (past and present), emphasizing the role of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and other Governmental agencies in fish and wildlife management; the second tells the story of the Lewis and Clark military expedition. The contractor will be required to deliver one broadcast master and 25 VHS or DVD copies for use by the Corps. The Contractor will have the ri ght to market and air (telecast) these videos on the PBS television network. If the contractor decides to pursue telecast it will provide at its own cost National television distribution and promotion for the program including co-op advertising, press rel eases, articles and other material in National publications. Following the airing of these videos on PBS, the Government will assume, and the contractor will convey, sole ownership and copyright rights to the productions including all broadcast, language v ersion and duplication rights as well the right to market these videos (and all original uncut footage). Firms desiring consideration can submit SF254 and demonstrate specialized experience in the following areas: 1) Video production intended for televisio n, 2) Distribution and promotion for National Public Television.
