- Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Request for Quotations (RFQs) are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Requisition #F1353312050200 is a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. This solicitation is a 100% set aside for Small Business concerns. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 421410. The small business size standard is 100 employees. The following is a description of the items requested to include installation and basic operational training of the products provided. 1) LCD Video Projector, 1400 Lumens, XGA Resolution, 8.4 lbs, PTL711U, Panasonic (Quantity: 2). 2) Projector Lift, VT11X, Vutec (Quantity 2). 3) Inverted Ceiling Mount, RPA501, Chief (Quantity 2). 4) 68?x 92? Perm-Wall Screen, 40547, Da Lite (Quantity 2). 5) DVD-VHS Dual Deck, plays DVDs audio CDs and VHS Tapes, VTR-DVR5000, AVAS (Quantity 1). 6) 5 Disc front loading CD Player, PPDD-3200 TEAC (Quantity 1). 7) P/2 DA2 Plus Two output Distribution Amplifier, 60-046-02, Extron (Quantity 2). 8) Interlink Cordless Handheld Remote RF Mouse; USB and PS/2 Compatible Omnidirectional control; Up to 100 foot range; Patented click trigger design; Four programmable buttons, VP4800; AVAS. 9)a. Sound system: AutoOne, mic mixer, CPA 130 Dual 65 watt Amp, MSP22e Dual Channel Multi-Function System Processor, D60EQ Distribution Autoformer, SPM412a; Preammixer; 9)b. JBL wallmount speakers, 6 each bogen ceiling speakers, AT857 AMX; Gooseneck Microphone; Baimp/JBL/Bogen/Audio Technica. 10) SP2 SMCHAS; Controller, SP2-SMWE-8 Enclosure; Control System; SP Controlls (Quantity 2). 11) Engineering System; all necessary cables, connectors, system hardware, and installation; 12) Racking System, 51? system for audio and video equipment; Middle Atlantic. All items are brand name or equal. A. SCOPE OF WORK: Contractor will provide warranty and technical assistance before, during and after installation. B. RESPONSIBILITY OF CONTRACTOR: The contractor shall visit building #54 and meet with 315 OSF and contracting personnel to become familiar with all details of the users operational capabilities/requirements pertaining to the projection equipment. The contractor must conduct a site survey to verify all details/critical dimensions of projection screens/systems. The contractor shall provide a detailed schematic diagram and list of equipment prior to award, as a part of the solicitation process. C. IDENTIFICATION: Contract personnel working on Charleston AFB, SC Shall be easily identifiable while performing their duties. D. GENERAL INFORMATION FIRE SAFETY: If welding is required, all welding and burning operations necessary for the completion of this contract will be accomplished in strict compliance with CAFB safety standards. The Contractor shall obtain a burning permit from the base fire department prior to welding, burning or cutting operations each day. The permits are the only acceptable authorization for welding, burning or cutting operations at CAFB. FIRE EXTINGUISHERS: During welding/burning operations, the Contractor shall provide/have available fire extinguishers in accordance with NFPA Standards. In no case shall less than two fire extinguishers be available where welding, cutting or burning is being performed. Interposed shields of incombustible materials shall be used to protect against fire damage due to sparks and heat. If temporary heating devices are used, a watchman shall be provided by the Contractor to be present during those periods when no other contractor workmen are at the site. HOUSEKEEPING: The Contractor shall maintain housekeeping practices that reduce the risk of fire, damage, and personal injury. Scrap materials, rubbish and trash (created by the Contractor) shall be removed at least once each day from the work area. The contractor shall arrange for the disposal of all debris and refuse associated with the removal and installation of new equipment. ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS AND MATERIALS HANDLING: The Contractor must have (at the work site) a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for any chemicals brought on base such as oil, grease, paint and the like. Such materials are to be handled, used, and disposed of by the Contractor in accordance with all local, state, and federal requirements. E. SITE SURVEY: A site survey is mandatory, and currently scheduled for 6 September 2001, 9:00 AM at 101 East Hill Blvd, Building 503, 437th Contracting Squadron, Charleston AFB SC 29404. All interested parties Shall contact our office not later than 4:30 PM on 5 September 2001 with the names of the personnel and the company that plan on attending. Failure to do so may delay the process of notifying the Security Forces Installation Entry Controller, thus delaying or prohibiting your access to the base. The provision at 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items is applicable to this solicitation: Offerors shall include with their offers a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items.
