Description
Modification 01 to the combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6. Solicitation Number AT/TC 20280, Warehouse Inventory Services is being issued as a request for proposal (RFP) to be performed at eh Southeast Distribution Center, Palmetto, GA and the Southwest Distribution Center, Ft. Worth, TX. STATEMENT OF WORK : Specifications/Statistics, Stock Inventories: 1.The Contractor will conduct line item inventories as follows: a.Each item will be counted by the General Services Administration (GSA) Unit of Issue. Questions concerning units of issue are to be directed to the Inventory Team Leader or his designee. b.The Contractor will furnish GSA an ASCII text file containing all the first counts for each NSN. c.The Contractor is required to recount all NSN's where the first count does not match the GSA record balance. Second counts are furnished as an ASCII text file. d.The Contractor is required to make third and final counts when the second count does not match the first count or when the dollar value of the discrepant quantity is $400.00 or more. A GSA representative will accompany the contractor on all third counts. Third counts are reported as an ASCII text file. e.Each item may have multiple bulk locations as well as a bin location. The Contractor's ASCII text files for first, second, and third counts will show the NSN, each location where material was counted, the count for each location, and the total number of units for each NSN (final format to be determined). f.The Contractor shall remain at the inventory site until GSA personnel state that the inventory has been satisfactorily completed. g.The Contractor is required to complete the inventory within the allotted time frame. If the Contractor causes the inventory to run longer than the specified time, the Contractor is responsible for any GSA wage expense that is incurred as a result of the delay. 2. GSA will provide and/or perform the following: (a)Each NSN will be combined, as practicable, to minimize multiple locations. (b)GSA personnel will accompany Contractor on third counts, provide contractor with listing of required first, second, and third counts, and answer any and all technical questions. (c)GSA will provide forklifts and drivers. 3.Statistics: Please note that the figures shown are approximate and may differ at time of inventory: Fort Worth, TX- 800,000 Sq. Ft., Bin Items 1,200, Bulk Items 1,000,: Palmetto, GA -- 800,000 Sq. Ft., Bin Items 1,200, Bulk Items 1,000. a.Inventory Dates: Palmetto, GA: November 26-30, 2001; Ft. Worth. TX: November 5-9, 2001. Specifications/Statistics, Equipment Inventories: 1.The Contractor will conduct inventories of equipment as follows: a.The Contractor will count all equipment and furnish results to GSA as an ASCII text file. b.The equipment inventory will be separated into four categories; (1)Mobile Equipment, consisting of forklifts, scooters, dog sleds, and the like; (2)Stationary Material Handling Equipment, consisting of storage racks, stretch wrap machines, flow racks, bin shelving, etc; (3)ADP Equipment, consisting of CPU's, monitors, printers, etc.; and (4)All Other Equipment, consisting of tables, chairs, partitions, etc. c.The Contractor will furnish in an ASCII text file: Item:, Serial Number:, ID Number:, Quantity:, Location: d.The Contractor shall remain at the inventory site until GSA personnel state that the inventory has been satisfactorily completed. e.The Contractor is required to complete the inventory within the allotted time frame. If the Contractor causes the inventory to run longer that the specified time, the Contractor is responsible for any GSA wage expenses associated with the delay. 2.GSA will provide and/or perform the following: (a)Each Item will be combined, as practicable, to minimize multiple locations. (b) GSA will provide assistance to Contractor in the identification of items. (c)GSA will tag all equipment not to be inventoried. Statistics: a.None available at this time, however, GSA expects to have the most of equipment assigned minimizing the size of the inventory. b.Inventory dates: Same as stated above. NOTE:The Equipment Inventory is scheduled subsequent to the Stock Inventory, but if practical, may be started sooner. c.Contact Points: Regarding the methods of conducting the inventories: Same as stated above.=20
