Description

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 2, intends to issue a sole source order to Millipore Corporation, 80 Ashby Road, Bedford MA, for a preventive maintenance agreement for the period October 1, 2001 -- September 30, 2002. This acquisition shall be conducted under FAR Part 12 for commercial services. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation shall will not be issued. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 811219. Nine (9) ultrapure water systems, located at the EPA's Edison, NJ facility, shall be serviced under this agreement. The serial numbers are as follows: F3HM77228N/F3EM7727SE; F3HM77228L/F3EM77275Q; F1MM71594F; F3SM764DU/F3EM77275K; F3HM77063U/F3JM77278N; F3HM77063G/F3EM77275H; F2HM73252N/F2HM73208T; F3HM77281L/13199C and F8JM6874I/F7SM40103I. Interested parties may respond to this requirement by providing documentation that your firm pocessess historical access to replacement parts and successful perfomance in servicing the Millipore ultrapure water systems. The information received will normally be condsidered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the EPA not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the EPA. As this action is being conducted as an acquisition of a commercial item, pursuant to FAR 5.203(2), award may be made after 25 days of publication of this notice.
