Description

The project consists of, but is not limited to modifications and repairs to the existing Engine Shop Facility 725, at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware including modifying and/or removing administrative areas, windows, roofing, latrines, electrical and mechanical systems, fire alarm system, fire protection system and utilities. This project also includes removal of asbestos containing materials and lead contaminated materials. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 23331. The approximate issue date will be 10 Jul 2001 with an approximate response date of 8 Aug 2001. This solicitation is a Request for Proposal and is issued on an unrestricted basis to all firms registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). All responsive offers will be considered by the agency. The offeror must be licensed as required by the State of Delaware for the purpose of removal, encapsulation, enclosure, demolition and maintenance of structure covered by or composed of asbestos-containing materials. The offeror must be State of Delaware certified for the purpose of lead based paint removal. Offerors without written proof of Delaware State license for asbestos and Delaware certification for lead based paint removal at the time of initial offer, will be not be considered for award. The performance period is 365 calendar days. The project magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000, 000. The entire solicitation, including specifications, will be made available only on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) Web Site at http://www.eps.gov. The solicitation can be accessed by following the links on the EPS website to: USAF Offices, Air Mobility Command, 436 CONS. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this website frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents.
