Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service plans to acquire, by commercial item procedures, biological safety cabinets. This procurement is being issued for full and open competition and awarded to the lowest priced technically acceptable offer received. The applicable NAICS code is 339111 with a small business size standaard of 500 employees. The requirement includes three biological safety cabinets that are of the Baker Model 42 Isogard Class III name brand or equal. The solicitation will list the salient characteristics. All cabinets are to be shipped to Ames Iowa. It is anticipated that the formal Request for Proposal (RFP) 79-M-APHIS-01 will be released on or about 6 September 2001. Telephone requests will not be accepted. This solicitation will be posted on the web site located at the bottom of this page. The offeror's who download the solicitation from the web site should send an email to the Contract Specialist stating that they have downloaded the solicitation.
