Description

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), Office of Research and Development (ORD), intends to seek a quotation on a sole source basis from the K.S. Krump Group, Inc., a Route-to-Route Approach Strategy for existing Air Toxics Project. This project is intended to explore and augment the capcity of the Agency to perform route-to-route extrapolation among and between route of toxicant administration including inhalation, gavage food/drinking water and intraperitoneal injection. The tasks of the project would be to comprehensively review the literature to provide any information available to accomplish this end, including information available in animals and in humans. The available data would be compiled and functionally integrated through a vehicle such as a physiologically-based pharmacokinetic model by which the various route dosimetries could be estimated, analyzed and compared. Completion of this project would provide the Agency case studies for route-to-route extrapolation, theoretical strategies by which route-to-route extrapolations may be accomplished, and allow for a more definitive insight into the scope and level of information necessary to perform adequate route-to-route. This is not a request for proposal. Sources wishing to be considered must submit documentation to the office identified above. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
