Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Divisions intends to procure on a Competitive basis, 1 Job -- Provide phosphate/paint/coating services to be applied to government supplied Penetrator Cases. The contractor shall pick up and deliver 18 penetrator cases, constructed of 9Ni-4Co-0.3C steel, each weighing 1,500 pounds, 2 penetrator cases per pallet. Each item will be supplied with a threaded aluminum nose protector and an acrylic aft cavity cover. These items must be removed by the vendor prior to treatment and re-installed after treatment for return shipment and delivery. Interior surfaces of penetrator cases will exhibit advanced stages of heavy "heat treat" scale material. As such, the cleaning process prior to coating operations must be aggressive and thorough. Material certifications, process certifications, and test reports documenting conformance to applicable specifications cited by the drawing shall be supplied with the finished items. Delivery of all items is required 10 weeks after award of the contract. This is a small purchase, small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 332813 and the size standard is $5.0. The solicitation and Statement of Work will be issued 04 Sep 01 and will be available through the 2.0 Contracts Competency home page at: https://contracts.nawcwd.navy.mil/rfp-nawc.htm . Some portions of the RFQ are not available electronically. It is the offeror's responsibility to contact the Government Representative cited in the RFQ (and listed below) in order to obtain paper copies of those portions of the RFQ that are unavailable electronically.
