Description

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences intends to award a sole source purchase order to Transgenomic, Inc., Omaha, NE, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1) -- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for 1 each of the following: #WAV99-0008A Wave Nucleic Acid Fragment Analysis System Model 3500HT, #SER-WUPRE Premier Support Upgrade, #440598 Consumables Pak, and Installation /Training. This system must include the following critical capabilities: (1) Column must have a guaranteed lifetime of >4,000 injections; (2) Handle 2X96 well plates with a peltier cooling system; (3) Equipped with accelerator to wash the column after every run by by-passing the regular lines; (4) System software which determines the variations in melting temperature of the SNP detection process; (5) Capable of using buffers that can be made fresh using the DHPLC reagent grade components. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 5 days of closing date of notice to Dee Lunney at the above address for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 5 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with the Transgenomic. The NAICS Code/Size is 334516/500EM. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
