Description

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences intends to award a sole source purchase order to Harvard Apparatus, Inc., Holliston, MA, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1) -- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for the purchase of 1 each of the following: #72-0155 MED64 Connector, #72-0156 Integrated Amp & Stimulator, #72-0172 Controller & MED64 Software, #72-0167 Probe Perfusion Cover, #72-0168 Connector Docking Station, #72-0161 Probe 10/150Pk, #73-2802 Thermostatic Circulator E103 Bath, #73-0100 Roller Pump Reglo Digital, #59-9203 Ox Bubbler w/fluid inlet port, #73-0126 Pump Tubing AME 14 Tygon 3-stop, #73-1832 Pump Tubing, #72-1016 Tygon R-3603, #72-1024 Tygon R-3603, #72-1407 Nat Polyprop luer kit, #72-1410 Nat Polyprop Barb Hose Kit, #72-1413 Nat Polypro Barb Hose Kit, and #72-3499 90 Watt Incubator. The system comes complete with software for investigating neurophysiological properties in brain slices and is compatible with existing system. System must have software to perform automated slice analysis. Patented probe design and construction guarantee to have an impedance of 50 kOhm or less. Other required features are 1) greater bandwidth amplifier, 2) integrated stimulation (4 channel), 3) ext. control of 2 additional stimulation channels, 4) patented probe and system design technology, and 5) one year free software upgrades and tech support. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 5 days of closing date of notice to Dee Lunney at the above address for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 5 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Harvard Apparatus.
