Description
The project consists of the construction of a new 100,000 barrel (15,900 m) JP-8 fuel storage tank, a new pump house with all associated piping and valves, etc. to transfer JP-8 jet fuel to and from the E-2 complex, an emergency generator, a new well house and fire pump at Eielson AFB, Alaska. Demolition and removal of five (5) existing, out of service, 16,000 barrel storage tanks is included. Major project elements include; provide a connection to the existing DN200 (8") pipeline that runs between the E-2 and E-11 Complexes; construct a second DN 200 (8") pipeline between the E-2 and E-6 Complexes; provide capability to transfer fuel to and from the new 100,000 barrel fuel storage tank through filter separators, to other bulk fuel storage tanks; provide the ability to issue fuel to the flight line hydrant systems and to the JP-8 truck rack at the E-2 Complex; provide for receipt of fuel from R-11 refueler trucks and receipt of fuel from the nearby E-2 rail off-load facility; construct a new fire water supply well, diesel pump, and water distribution system at the E-2 Complex, furnish and install an emergency diesel generator, demolition and removal of five (5) 16,000 barrel steel fuel storage tanks. Open to all businesses regardless of size. If a large business is selected for this contract, it must comply with FAR 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for a subcontracting plan for that part of the work it intends to subcontract. All responders are advised that this project may be cancelled or revised at any time during the solicitation, selection, evaluation, negotiation, and or final award process based on decisions related to DOD changes.
