Description
This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-01-Q-6208. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. This is unrestricted. NAICS Code is 334119_; size standard is 1,000 Employees. NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase the following items: (a) InterSense IS-900 VET Equipment, Consisting of: (1)Quantity (QTY) 1, IS-900 Virtual Environment Tracking System including: -Base Processing Unit -Configuration for 3x3x3 meter tracking volume -1 Head Tracker -1 Four-button Wand Tracker (2) QTY 1 Head Tracker (to mount on object) (3) QTY 1 Stylus Tracker Required delivery is 30_ days after award, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. It is expected to place a purchase order with InterSense, 73 Second Avenue, Burlington, Massachusetts, 01803. They are the only known source for these items. All other timely offers will be considered. Offers for other products must contain complete product information and prices. FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items applies. Evaluation will be in accordance with FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items. Evaluation factors are technical capability, price and past performance. Each is equally important.
