Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included by electronic notice. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. The Department of Veterans Affairs, White River Junction, Vermont is soliciting proposals for courier service from White River Junction, VT to three VA Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) located in Bennington, VT; Colchester, VT and Rutland, VT. Service shall include pick-up, transport and delivery of items to and from each clinic location and the Medical Center in White River Junction, five days, per week, excluding Government holidays. The term of the contract will be October 1, 2001 through September 30, 2002, with three, one-year options. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. The small business size standard is 1,500 employees. The NAICS is 48211. The solicitation number is 405-01-02 and is issued as an RFP. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. All responses are due COB, September 20, 2001. Evaluations will be made on price, technical proposal, past performance and small disadvantage business participation. Offerors are required to submit a complete copy of the provision at 52.212-3 -- Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items with their offer.
