Description

NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ)228-31891-709 for Helical Rotary Water Chiller, remote air cooled, designed for use with the existing trane condensers, with the following minimum features and accessories: nominal 125 tons cooling, 118.0 minimum cooling tons, 54.0 Degree F EWT, 45.0 Degree F LWT, 312 GPM, 18' max. wpd, 119 Degree F design condensing, 15%-100% modulated unloading, 139.5 KW Compressor power, 9.8 minimum EER. 460 Volt, 3 Phase, 60 Hz, input power (MCA=228 AMPS, RDE=300 AMPS, MFS=300 AMPS). Provide factory installed control power transformer, U.L. Listed. Model no. RTUA-125 (Trane), 1 Lot. Additional specifications will be issued with the Request for Quotation. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR PART 12. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 421730 and 100, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO C9. The anticipated release date of RFQ 228-31891-709 is on or about 9/21/01 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about 10/05/01. All qualified responsible sources may request a copy of the request for quotation which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B".
