Description

The U. S. Department of Commerce, National Marine Fisheries Service intends to procure Software License, EchoView Version 2.2. There is only one known source for this requirement. This procurement will include the following modules; Base, Bathymetric, Integration, Echolog, Live-Viewing, Virtual Echogram, School Detection, Fish Tracking. A second license for the above software will be procured. The software will be used to log and process fisheries acoustic data collected with the Simrad EK500 scientific echosounders and Simrad split-beam transducers hull-mounted on the NOAA Ship Oregon II and NOAA Ship Gordon Gunter. Echoview is the unique software for use with the Simrad echosounder systems because of the following: (1) It runs on PCs in a Window environment. (2) It supports both the Simrad EK500, and new EK60 and ES60 echosounders. (3) It can analyze several frequencies at the same time with "seamless" scrolling across file boundaries in an Echogram display. (4) It allows removal of "bad" data. (5) It allows realtime viewing of Echogram during data logging. (6) It performs fish tracking. And, (7) it is the only known commercial software with a module that can process multi-beam data from the simrad SM2000 multi-beam sonar system. Since the SM2000 is slated to be included on FRV40s, the Echoview can be upgraded by adding the multi-beam module once the Oregon II is replaced by a new RFV. NAICS code 514199 applies.
