Description

The government intends to enter into a sole source agreement to extend Contract Number F05604-96-C9004 with PRC Inc. (Logicon) to Operate, Maintain and Logistically Support (OM&S) the Ground-Based Electro-Optical Deep-Space Surveillance System (GEODSS) from 01 Apr 02 to 30 Sep 02. This action is required in order to consolidate the GEODSS and Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS) acquisition projected to start on or about 01 October 2002. Offerors still wishing to receive information on this requirement must submit the request in writing to the contracting officer by 28 September 2001. This requirement is for 24 hour, 7 day-per-week non-personal services in support of the 18 SPSS Detachments at Socorro, New Mexico; Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT); and Maui, Hawaii. GEODSS fulfills the requirements for deep space and near earth space surveillance in support of the Space Surveillance Network, for the integrated tactical warning/attack assessment system, and for intelligence gathering. Services consist of, but are not limited to, tasks such as: overall program management, training, site operations such as collection of metrics observations and Space Object Identification (SOI) data, communication, computer operations, Level II software support, communications-electronics maintenance, supply support, civil engineering support, Environmental management, Security, transportation and Safety. Performance will be for a six (6) month period (01 Apr 02 to 30 Sep 02) by extending the current contract.
