Description
The Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Metropolitan Correctional Center, (MCC), located in Chicago, Illinois has a provision for Medical Contract for Psychiatry Services. The address where performance will be conducted is: Health Services Department at the MCC, 71 West Van Buren, Chicago, IL 60605. The services are to be provided to the inmate population at MCC Chicago. Services will be provided in a penal correctional institution security environment. The successful offeror must possess proof of primary source verification of each licensed clinician and technician before contract award. These services will be provided in (4) hour sessions. Sessions are estimated between (12) -- (52) sessions per year. The work schedule will consist of (1) session per week. Scheduling of sessions is negotiable, but work must be performed between Monday through Friday at 7:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.., excluding Government Holidays. Examinations will be scheduled during normal hours. The period of performance and duration of the contract period will include a base year and (4) option periods. The break-down is as follows: Base Year: Date of award through 12 months, Option Year (1), 12 months after date of award, Option Year (2), 24 months after date of award, Option Year 3, 36 months after date of award, Option (4), 48 months after date of award. The successful contractor will render diagnostic evaluations and treatment using medical facilities provided by MCC. Specialized medical equipment and associated supplies may be furnished at no expense to MCC, to enhance diagnostic treatment capabilities as determined by the provider after prior notification and final approval (Security and Biomedical Clearances) of the MCC. Otherwise, all medically associated supplies and diagnostic equipment will be furnished the MCC. The MCC will provide all necessary supplies, maintenance, cleaning, sterilization and calibration, etc. Services to include diagnosis and treatment recommendations for inmates requiring Psychiatric intervention or evaluation. Diagnosis and treatment modalities to be consistent with community standards and DSM III. The successful contractor shall provide recommendations for treatment to Medical Staff of the MCC for all patients referred by the Medical or Psychology Departments of the MCC. Eligibility requirements will be based on board certification and state licensor. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The procedure for award will be based on written request for quotations. The Government anticipate award of a Firm-Fixed Price Requirements contract.
