Description
The Government is planning an Industry Forum on September 26, 2001 at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland in the Perishing Hall Conference Room, Building 4550 at 12:00 p.m. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District in support of Fort George G. Meade, Maryland seeks to identify responsible potential sources (regulated and non-regulated) to own, operate, and maintain the U. S. Army-Owned Potable Water Treatment, and Waste Water Treatment distribution and collection systems located at Fort Meade. The potential privatization actions will include transfer of ownership, operation and maintenance, and the obligation to serve. The overall intent of the Government is to transfer ownership of the above utilities to a Company that possesses the capabilities of owning, operating, and maintaining these systems. The Government does not presently intend to award a contract, but wants to determine industry capabilities and to improve the understanding of the Government's requirements. Those Government requirements include the proposed contract type, terms and conditions, feasibility requirements, the suitability of evaluation criteria (including the approach for assessing past performance information) and any other industry concerns or questions. Copies of the Government's requirements will be posted on the below Baltimore District's privatization web site, where they can be viewed or downloaded. Questions pertaining to the privatization of these systems can be submitted in advance to the Government at the below e-mail address. Hard copies will not be provided without written certification that Internet capability is unavailable. Interested companies most notify the Government of their interest in attending, along with questions or concerns via E-mail. Directions to Ft. Meade and other pertinent information can be found on the Baltimore District privatization web site.
