Description
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is requesting quotations from vendors for (1) EA, Baum Folding Machine model 20HD brand name or equal. The minimum specification for equal shall include the following: Machine must be able to process 2 -- 3 million documents in a 6 month period; floor model with continuous feed right angle; 20.5" x 33" maximum sheet size; 4" x 6" minimum sheet size; Folds from 1 to 6 sheets of 20# -- 60# stock; Must be able to feed and fold stapled documents and to have rollers that will hold up to this type of action; Include internal diagnostics with descriptive messages (jam detector); 220/6/60 electrical; 1 1/2HP pump drive; Fast and accurate roller adjustments to accommodate various weights and grades of paper; 3 fold plates per section with a 4th optional; 7/8" slitter shaft diameter; 6500 ipm speed; 3/4 AC Fold roll drive; Gearplate to maintain the same amount of tooth contact during multiple thickness bucklefolding; Vacuum wheel; and vendor must have an authorized dealer in the Fresno-Clovis area to do repairs within 24 hours notice. Delivery and Installation of equipment, Training, Warranty terms shall be included. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provisions and clauses shall apply FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.211-6, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5 to this synopsis. The FAR web-site is www.arnet.gov/far. This procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses (see numbered Note 1). The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is P1P25D02H39. Delivery shall be made within 30 days after receipt of purchase order. Delivery terms are F.O.B. destination to the IRS Fresno Service Center 5045 East Butler Avenue, Fresno, CA 93888. The resulting purchase order shall be a firm fixed price. The basis for award shall be based on brand name or equal and price. All interested small business is requested to submit a written quotation, which will be considered by the agency. Quotations may be submitted on a company letterhead. Quotations shall include the RFQ number, the proposed unit price, prompt payment discount terms, company name, point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, tax identification number, DUNS number, size status (i.e., small business, disadvantaged business or woman owned business).
