Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division intends to purchase on a brand name or equal basis the following products manufactured by Tate Access Floors, Inc: product number 6583, WC1000 solid panel, 2' x 2', 1/8" HPL ST61 (gray starlite), quantity of 1281; product number 6141, perforated panel with damper, 2' x 2', 1/8" HPL ST61 (gray starlite), quantity of 32; product number 5328, pedestal head, quantity of 1462; product number 590910, stringer 2' bolted, quantity of 2738; product number 595120, stringer gasket, quantity of 2738; and product number 593105, stringer screws, quantity of 5848. The flooring must be interchangeable with existing flooring and be of the same color (ST61 gray starlite). Equivalent products must exhibit the following salient characteristics: Tate Floor panel, 1/8" HPL, Wood core Floor Panel to be used with a stringer system (Bolt-Down); Concentrated Load of 1,250 lbs at 0.095" deflection; Rolling Load (10 pass) 1,000 lbs at 0.40" deflection perm set, (10,000 pass) 800 lbs at 0.40" deflection perm set; Uniform Load 300 lbs at 0.40 deflection; Ultimate Load 3,600 lbs; and Impact Load 150 lbs at 36" drop. Products shall be covered by at least a one year warranty. Delivery shall be made within 30 days from date of award. The North American Industry Classification System code is applicable to this requirement is 321999. Award is to be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR 13) by Navy Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100. The government will not issue a written request for quotation as all items are identified in the Commerce Business Daily (CBD) notice. The solicitation number is N00178-01-Q-9163 and is a Request for Quotation. All interested parties shall provide quotes by fax to (540) 653-4089, attention Code SD125 or by e-mail sd12@nswc.navy.mil. Quotes should include delivery terms with pricing for delivery to Dahlgren, VA, and warranty terms (including warranty period and response/repair time). Offerors shall include their business size. Quotes offering equivalent products shall provide sufficient information to demonstrate that proposed items meet the salient characteristics identified above and are interchangeable with the Tate products that currently exist at the site. Quotes are to be received no later than 4:00 PM EDT Sept 13, 2001. The anticipated award date is Sept 19, 2001.
