Description

The Acquisition Management Department, National Naval Medical Center has a requirement for Serology, Laboratory Medicine Department. NNMC intends to award a sole sourced standing order to Gen Probe 10210 Genetic Drive San Diego, CA 92121 for reagent test kits. Gen Probe is the only source which screens and detects both Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae infections from patient specimens. The following items will be procured: CLIN 0001: Ninety (96) kits Cat# 3905 Pace 2C Chlamydia/NG kit, eight (8)kits delivered per month; CLIN 0002: Twenty (24)kits Cat# 1792 Chlamydia kit, two (2)kits delivered per month; CLIN 0003: Twenty four (24)kits Cat# 1793 Neisseria Gonorrhoeae kit, two (2)kits delivered per month; CLIN 0004: Twenty four (24)kits Cat# 3549 PCA For Neisseria, two (2)kits delivered per month; CLIN 0005: Twenty four (24)kits Cat# 1791 Detection reagent, two (2)kits delivered per month; CLIN 0006: Twenty four (24)kits Cat# 3548 PCA for Chlamydia kit, two (2)kits delivered per month; CLIN 0007: Twenty four (24)kits Cat# 3275 Male Collection kit, two (2)kits delivered per month; CLIN 0008: One hundred forty four (144)kits Cat# 3300 Female Collection kit, twelve (12)kits delivered per month; CLIN 0009: Twelve (12)kits Cat# 2930 Fast Express reagent, one (1)kit delivered per month. Gen Probe will provide the laboratory with the use of the following equipment: Leader 450I Luminometer, Magnetic Separation Unit, Bottle Top Dispenser, Eppendorf Pipettor, and a Multiprobe 104 automated washer and dispenser. Award will be made in the form of a SF1449 commercial purchase order for the period 1 October 2001 through 30 September 2002. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under the guidelines as set forth the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Award will be contingent upon availability of FY02 funding.
