- Description
- The Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, San Francisco CA intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302, see Note 22. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A written solicitation will not be issued. The followin is the salient characertistics of the item under this procurement requirement: Retina Tomograph II System (HRT II) is a confocal scanning laser ophthalmoscope which includes Laser scanning camera, Pentium III 600 MHz computer, 2.6 GB MO drive, NEC 17" monitor, NEC 15" flat screen monitor, HP Deskjet 930C printer, Electric lift table. Field of View: 15 degrees x 15 degrees (transverse); Scan depth: 1.0 to 4.0 mm (automatic); Focus Range: -12 to +12 diopters; Digitized Image Size 2D image: 384 x 384 pixels; 3D image: 384 x 384 x 16 to 384 x 64 pixels; Optical Resolution (limited by the eye) 10um (transverse); 300 um (longitudinal); Digital Resolution 10um/plxel (transverse); 62 um/plxel (longitudinal); Scan time per image: 2D image: 0.024 seconds, 3D image: 0.4 to 1.5 seconds. System Components: chin rest with the Tomograph II, Image Acquisition, processing and archiving software. 4' x 6' space for table and chairs. Mfr: Heidelberg. This is a notice of intent to issue a sole source contract to Heidelberg, Carlsbad, CA. 92008 for the procurement of this system. Responsible sources who are interested in this procurement are required to submit in response clear and convincing information that identifies their capabilities. In addition the offeror must substantiate their offer with technical data, brochures, price list or catalog, terms and conditions, delivery schedule etc. If this commodity is available under GSA contract, please provide the GSA schedule. All responses must be received by September 21, 2001 by 1:00 p.m., PST. Offers must be delivered via fax to FAX number: 415-750-2170, Attn: M. Requests for a solicitation will be considered nonresponsive. All responses from responsible sources submitting the requirement informationwill be fully considered. In addition, the contractor is required to register with the Department of Contractor Registry (CCR) in accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, competed with resulting award under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Responsible firms responding to this synopsis will be considered if the action is competed. This is a one-time procurement.
