Description

The National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) intends to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis with Ampex Data Systems Corporation to procure one (1) Ampex DST 414 Automated Cartridge Library System, Ampex 660GB cartridges, and first a nd second year system and head rider maintenance. This automated cartridge library system is required to support on-going N IMA activities. Authority for the sole source procurement is 10 USC 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1. Firms that recognize that th ey can provide the required system are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification and provide supportin g evidence to the Contracting Officer by close of business 12 September 2001. The final determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on any information provided is solely within the discretion of the Government . All responsible sources will be given full consideration. Only written responses will be considered.
