Description

1. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to solicit a quotation, on a sole source basis on or before 09/21/2001, from Press Association, Inc./The Associated Press, 50 Rockefeller Plaza, NY, NY 10020 the following on-line rapid detection & reporting of new disease outbreaks and other emerging health events Topic Reports: AP Health, AP Environmental, AP Photo Archive-Limit 10 Photos per month, AP Alert Svcs, Alert/Medical & AP Alert/Environmental Subscription from 09/30/2001 through 09/29/2002. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Simplified Acquisition procedures will be utilized and an oral quotation will be solicited on or about Sept 20, 2001. Other than full and open competition is authorized pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 253?(1). Qualified vendors have 15 days from the date of this synopsis to submit capability statements delineating their ability to provide these software upgrades and services. Such qualifications will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct the procurement on a fully and open competition basis. No solicitation exists.
