Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, John D. Dingell Medical Center, 4646 John R. Street, Detroit, Michigan 48201, intends to negoitate with Health Net Federal Services, 5525 N. MacArthur Blvd., Suite 795, Irving, TX 75038, for a Preferred Pricing Program. When eligible veterans receive their care from providers in the private sector, the Preferred Pricing Program allows the VA to share in the savings availbale through discounts in managed care networks by repricing claims. The program offers a network of providers covering outpatient and inpatient care, ambulatory surgery, professional services and ancillary services. Mental health, rehabilitation, dental and nursing home care can be included as desired. The proposed contract action if a BOA, which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. All FAR provisions and clauses maybe reviewed and/or obtained from the General Service internet address: http://www.gover/far. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to complete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely with thediscretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responses must be submitted no later than September 24, 2001 at 4:00pm local time to the contracting officer indicated above. See numbered Note 22.
