Description

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Environmental Technology Laboratory (ETL) intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) to the University of Maryland Baltimore County, Dept. of Physics, 1000 Hilltop Circle, Baltimore, MD 21250 to provide radiative transfer analysis for studies of upper-tropospheric water vapor and cirrus radiative properties at the Mauna Loa Observatory. Data shall be used from a combined infrared spectrometer and cloud lidar developed at NOAA/ETL for the University of Maryland -- Baltimore County. This procurement is being conducted per FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This synopsis is issued for information only. No competitive solicitation is planned. No award will be made on the basis of requests in response to this notice.
