- Description
- WY PRA-YELL 10(12) & WY PRA-YELL 10(14); GRAND LOOP ROAD, CANYON TO TOWER, PHASE I, GRAND LOOP ROAD, FISHING BRIDGE TO CANYON. This solicitation will be issued under Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 15 -- Contracting by Negotiation. The Government will award a firm-fixed price contract to the responsible proposer whose offer, conforming to the Request for Proposal (RFP), will be the Best Value to the Government, price and technical factors considered. PRELIMINARY PLANS WILL BE AVAILABLE APPROXIMATELY 9/19/01. The work consists of 15.5 km of grading, drainage, stone masonry, rockeries, base, and paving along with 24.4 km of roadway reconditioning, rock buttresses, correction of drainage and paving. The project consists of construction survey & staking; contractor sampling & testing; construction schedules; blasting consultant;12,000 m silt fence; 400 m diver pipe; 5,000 cu m watering for dust control; 68 ha clearing & grubbing; removal of 107 ea signs, 2,200 m guardrail, and 6,000 m curb; 160,000 cu m excavation & embankment; 28,100 cu m subexcavation; 53,000 t select borrow; 2,000 m rock blasting; 41,500 cu m earthwork geotextiles; 19,500 sq m roadway obliteration; 12,000 m riprap ditch lining; 5,000 cu m rock buttress; 800 sq m rockeries; 8,200 t minor crushed aggregate; 76,000 t emulsified asphalt treated base course; 220,000 sq m recycled aggregate course; 310,000 sq m treated recycled aggregate course; 125,000 t hot asphalt concrete pavement; 8,200 t minor hot asphalt concrete; 440 t asphalt prime coat; 220 t asphalt tack coat; 3,400 m culverts; 4,000 m underdrains; 200 sq m paved waterways; 14,500 m asphalt curb; 800 m stone curb; 1,000 m log curb; 2,400 sq m asphalt sidewalk; 300 sq m cobble median; 2,400 m guardrail; 210 ea remove/reset stone masonry headwalls; 200 m stone mansonry edging; 1,000 sq m dry-laid stone wall slope reinforcement; 120 m stone masonry wall; 300,000 sq m topsoil; 30 ha mulch; 90 ea permanent traffic control devices; 275,000 m permanent pavement markings; 8,500 flagger hrs; 2,200 pilot car hrs; 10 ea alteration of box culvert (floor rehabilitation/minor repairs); 3,000 sq m polystyrene foam; and other smaller items of work. The project extends approximately 15.5 and 24.4 km north and south of Canyon Junction, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. Work shall be completed by August 8, 2004. Estimated price range is over $10 million. Presolicitation Notices are being provided to firms on this agency's mailing list concurrently with the publication of this synopsis. DOT's Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000.
