Description
The U.S. Army , TACOM-RI, IL is seeking sources for Hydraulic Wheel Motor. The requirements of the Hydraulic Wheel Motor are as follows: 1. The Hydraulic Wheel Motor will work in tandem with 3 other Hydraulic Wheel Motors (4 wheel drive) to move the AMTC (Armor Moving Target Carrier), weighing roughly 3800 pounds, and measuring 11 ft. L x 5 ft. W x 2 ft. H, forward and backwards on a 350 meter track than can be curved and/or inclined at no more than 10 degrees. 2. The 4 motors will be capable of accelerating the AMTC to 20+/-2.5 km/h within 40 meters with the specified wind load of 35 MPH and decelerate from 20+/-2.5 km/h to a stop within 40 meters both on a flat terrain (no mechanical braking during deceleration except for the final stop). 3. On a 10 degree slope, the Wheel Motors shall provide enough power to accelerate the AMTC from 0 to 20 km/h within 100 meters. 4. Some of the specifications are: Displacement (in 3/rev): 3.6, Max Speed (RPM) @ 15 GPM 945, Speed (RPM) per GPM 63, Pressure (PSI), Max Continuous 1750, Max Intermittent 2250, Max Torque (In Lbs), @ Max Continuous PSI 881, @ Max Intermittent PSI 1141, Peak Back Pressure (PSI) 1500, Size (In), Body Length (Minus Shaft) 5.00, Body Width 4.50, Shaft Length 2.00, Shaft Dia 1.250/1.249, Keyway .3135/.3125, Ports (2 each) .875-14 UNF-2B, Port (1 each) .437-10 UNF-2B, Mounting Slots (2 each) .534 @ 4.25" OC, 5. Motor must be capable of fitting through an opening measuring 6 inches by 6 inches. 6. Please identify any requirements stated above that you feel are overly restrictive which would either restrict effective competition or prohibit commercial items as defined in FAR 2.101. 9. Funds are not presently available for this potential acquisition. It should be noted that this is NOT a Request for Proposal; the purpose of the sources sought notice is to seek commercial sources that will meet the U.S. Government's requirement.
