Description

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Pittsburg Wire and Cable, Bridgeville, PA to provide a bulk supply of A276464 7/Conductor color coded armored cable and cable handling services for the Field Operations Division, Chesapeake, VA. Period of performance is October 1, 2000 thru September 30, 2001. Authority: 41 USC 253(c)(1). Pittsburg Wire and Cable is the only know source capable of providing the required cable. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within ten days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Evidence must be provided of ability to provide the required cable. Copies of the solicitation will only be provided in response to written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor.
