Description

The Social Security Administration intends to negotiate a sole-source agreement with Mobility International USA for the purpose of providing follow-up services to its previous work to inform youth beneficiaries, families, and service providers about the employment preparation opportunities available through international exchange programs. Work includes writing and publishing articles on the matter of disability, attending disability conferences, and designing, printing, and distributing written materials. Contractor must be capable of providing an international exchange program that is designed specifically to provide young people with disabilities with pre-employment experiences. Contractor must: 1) be knowledgeable in Supplemental Security Income (SSI) provisions concerning study abroad; 2) have an extensive knowledge of national and international disability law and policies; 3) have an inclusive knowledge of state and local disability policy and programs that provide services to people with disabilities; 4) have an in-depth knowledge of international, national, state and local educational and cultural exchange programs and policies; and 5) have an assortment of international exchange resources available from the National Clearinghouse on Disability and Exchange.
