Description
Immigration and Naturalization Service, Washington DC is seeking information from all potential sources (private industry and federal government) regarding industry's capabilities for providing air transport for detained aliens, associated security services and medical needs. The locations at which work is projected to be performed are Alexandria, Louisiana; Houston, Texas; and Phoenix, Arizona. The biweekly flight itinerary shall require stops of approximately one hour at Tegucigalpa, Honduras (MHTG); Guatemala City, Guatemala (MGGT); and San Salvador, El Salvador (MSLP). The monthly flight itinerary shall require a stop of approximately one hour at Bogota, Colombia (SKBO) only. Contractor shall be responsible for inside perimeter security; control and prevention of detainee disruptions during processing; and prevention of detainee egress. The primary language spoken by detainees is Spanish. As such, the Contractor shall provide a sufficient number of employees proficient in the Spanish language on each trip to meet communication requirements. Please provide separate information on (1) International movement of detained aliens, (2) associated security (guard) services, (3) medical services, and (4) budgetary estimates (where possible). =20 The Government intends to reserve the right to split this requirement if it is deemed in the best interest of the Government. Respondents must clarify if their firm can currently provide services that meet the INS needs. Proprietary information MUST be marked as such, on a page-by-page basis. This Request For Information (RFI) does not, in anyway constitute a Request For Proposal (RFP) and as such, is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice, nor otherwise pay for information/items solicited. Information/items solicited will not be returned. To be of maximum benefit to the program, responses must be received by October 09, 2001.
