Description

Trident Refit Facility, Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay, GA., requires a 40 ton chain hoist with 12 ft lift nickel diffuesed load chain, 40 ft drop-zinc plated hand chain. Gear cases and hand-wheel covers shall be resistant to external shocks. Both sides of the chain hoist shall be covered by steel plate gear cases. The breaking machanism shall be enclosed in a double enclosure designed to prevent rain and dust from entering. There shall be a double pawl spring mechainism for safety and a positive stop at the end of the load chain. the hooks and load chains sahll be designed to stretch in lieu of fracturing in event of overload. Harrington model M3CB400 meets the necessary specifications. Requests must be in writing and must cite the RFQ number. Requests via facsimile are encouraged.
