- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-27. This solicitation is being issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ) # 811294. National American Industrial Classification is 334513 (SIC code 3823), and the Business Standard is 500 employees. The equipment in this solicitation must have a frequency range of 100 Khz to 100 Ghz and NARDA is the only known manufacturer with this capability on its unit. Therefore, the Government intends to solicit and negotiate this contract action on a sole source all or none basis under the authority of FAR 6.302 with NARDA, 345 Moreland Road, Hauppauge, NY 11788. This contract action will result in a Firm Fixed Price -- One Time Buy contract. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all quotes received within ten (10) days after the publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The requirement consists of (qty. of 159) NARDA RF personal monitor model #8862, (qty. of 16) NARDA RF personal monitor model# 8860, (qty. of 5) NARDA interface kit Part# 21847600. Warranty of (1) one year or better is requested. The purchasing activity is not responsible for locating or securing any information which is not identified in the quotation and reasonably available to the purchasing activity. Delivery shall be 45 days ARO. FOB Destination -- Quantico, VA 22135 -- All Quotes shall be submitted to FBI, Room 6875, JEH-FBI Building, 935 Pennsylvania Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C. 20535 no later 3:00pm EDT, Sept 20, 2001, and be clearly marked with RFQ# 811294. The point of contact for all information is Robert M. Heckman, Contract Specialist, at the address and phone number listed above. In addition, all potential offerors are hereby notified that due to the security requirements, Federal Express, D.H.L., UPS, ETC, deliveries for the FBI Headquarters facility are now received at an off-site location. No hand carried bids will be accepted. Therefore, the response time of 5 days has been extended to 10 days. The FBI has allowed five (5) extra days from the release of this CBD synopsis/solicitation for receipt of a bid. Therefore, if your response is not received by the date/time and at the location specified in the announcement, it will not be considered. No hand carried quotes will be accepted. Offerors may download the RFQ by accessing the FedBizopps website at :www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed through the FBO site. interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications, Commercial Item (2/01) with this proposal.
