DESC: THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The Request for quote number is RFQ-RT-01-00547 and the solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) anticipates that the contract will be awarded as a result of full and open competition. A firm-fixed-price purchase order is anticipated to result from the award of this solicitation and pertains to the acquisition of one (1 ea.) DominoGigabit Chassis, part number 9316/07 or similar product, one (1 ea.) DominoGigabit Multimode Interface, part number 9316/90.20 or similar product, DominoNAS Network Analysis Suite, part number 9316/93.30 or similar product. This equipment will used to analyze Gigabit network traffic in the new National Computer Center (NCC). This diagnostic equipment must be capable of capturing and displaying Gigabit EtherChannel in a single comprehensive trace. This solution will allow the EPA the capability to see traffic and track frames when they enter or exit any port on the switch. This equipment must also be capable of displaying baselining and trending capability in nice presentation-quality charts and graphs. The delivery date is 4:00 PM local time October 10, 2001. The contract will be a firm-fixed price contract. The NAICS Code is 513390 and the Small Business Size Standard is $11,000,000.00. The RFQ-RT-01-00547, and any amendments will be available via the Internet at http://www.epa.gov/oam/rtp_cmd.
