Description

The Patuxent River NAWC AD has a requirement to procure a maintenance service contract for on-site service for parts, labor and travel for the period of 1 Oct 2001 through 30 Sep 2002 for 19 tower antennas. The Atlantic Test Range team operates & maintains multiple microwave and RF data voice communications systems in support of test range operations in the Mid-Atlantic region from New Jersey to North Carolina. These systems link Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWC), Patuxent River, MD with remote data acquisition sites in the afore mentioned region. Antennas, transmission lines & other communications equipment are installed at multiple tower sites in the region at heights ranging from 60 feet to 500 feet above ground level. Both Government and privately owned towers are utilized. It is essential that Government towers and all attendant communication equipment & structures be maintained & periodically inspected to ensure operational integrity. It is also necessary that equipment be installed, removed, replaced and/or periodically electronically aligned. There may be instances where these services are required on an emergency basis. Government personnel are not available to perform these services & untimely equipment failure would result in unacceptable delays that cannot be handles by "one-time" work contracts. Award is to be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which will be considered by the agency.
