Description
The Acquisition Management Department, National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD has a requirement for the Microbiology Branch, Laboratory Medicine Department. NNMC intends to award a sole source commercial purchase order to Becton Dickinson & Company 7 Loveton Circle Sparks, MD 21152 for a preventive maintenance contract on their Bactec Models 9240 and 9120 Instrumented Fluorescent Blood Culture Systems. This contract includes unlimited telephone support, unlimited on-site service and repair, replacement parts, LIS Communication service, and one annual preventive maintenance inspection. Award will be made in the form of a SF1449 commercial purchase order for the period 1 October 2001 through 30 September 2002 and three (3)option years. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under the guidelines as set forth in the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Award will be contingent upon availability of FY02 funding.
