Description

Engineering, design and drafting services for the Advanced Seal Delivery System (ASDS) in support of the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, NH. This procurement is to negotiate and award a cost plus fixed fee, level of effort, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract. (Note 22) applies. Negotiations will be conducted with Electronics Sensors & Systems Division Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) P. O. Box 1488 of Annapolis, MD. 21404 on a sole source basis for a period of one base year plus four option years. Submission of technical cost and pricing data is required. Under the proposed effort, the Contractor shall provide an estimated 40,000 man-hours to accomplish engineering, technical, logistics and industrial services for the ASDS during the duration of the contract. The work will be accomplished primarily at the contractor s facility; however, on-site work wi ll also be performed at government locations or other sites. Some anticipated tasks to be completed under this contract are as follows: Engineering services, Configuration Data Management (CMA), logistics services, drafting, identifying spare parts, material procurement, testing, training, analyzing failures and recommending solutions, preparing ShipAlt Records, and updating selected record drawings and data. NGC is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the ASDS. This vehicle is complex, technical, highly specialized and life critical.
