Description

The Federal Bureau of Investigation intends to negotiate a sole source, firm-fixed price contract with Kokatat, Arcata, California, under Request for Quote (RFQ) 0026475. This notice will be distrubuted solely through the General Services Administration=3Ds Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web site http://www.fedbisopps.gov. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Kokatat is to provide 75 each, Fire Retardant Immersion Suits. FOB-Origin, FBI Academy, HRT Building, Quantico, Virginia, 22135. Based on market research via discussions with the DoD, it has been determined that the FBI=3Ds requirements for DoD compatibility water resistant, fire retardant suits can only be provided by Kokatat, Arcata, California. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit proposals to this office by 2:00 PM, EDT, Monday, September 24, 2001, via facsimile to the attention of Ms. Theresa M. Powell, Contracting Officer, at (703) 632-1607. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industrial Classification System Number is 421830, the size standard is 100 employees. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 12. Telephone requests will not be accepted. See Note 22.
