Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to make a single award to a responsible quoter for a non-personal service contract for Jewish Services to be provided to the inmate population at the United States Penitentiary (USP) and Federal Prison Camp (FPC), Pollock, LA. The requirement for an ordained Jewish Rabbi shall consist of one position working one 1-hour session per month normally on religious holidays or Fridays between hours of 6:30 p.m. through 7:30 p.m. The total number of sessions for a 12-month contract period is estimated at 12 sessions. The contract term shall consist of a base period not to exceed 12 months with four 12-month option periods for renewal. The Contractor will conduct, but will not necessarily be limited to providing instruction, counsel, and leadership training in rituals, traditions, and spiritual guidance in Jewish faith matters to the inmate population. The Contractor shall be a member of a recognized Jewish Order and will be thoroughly familiar with all facets of Jewish religious practices. The solicitation will be available on or about October 1, 2001, with a deadline for receipt of quotations of approximately, November 1, 2001. This procurement is set aside 100 percent for small business concerns. Requests for Quotations should be submitted in writing only. Telephone and facsimile request will not be accepted. All responsible offers within the competitive range will be considered. See Note 1.
