Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to make a single award to a responsible quoter for a non-personal service contract for Islamic Services to be provided to the inmate population at the United States Penitentiary (USP) and Federal Prison Camp (FPC), Pollock, LA. The requirement for a certified Sunni Muslim Iman shall consist of one position working four 2-hour sessions per month normally on Fridays between the hours of 1:00 p.m. through 3:30 p.m. The total number of sessions for a 12-month contract period is estimated at 48 sessions. The contract term shall consist of a base period not to exceed 12 months with four 12-month option periods for renewal. The Contractor will conduct, but will not necessarily be limited to providing instruction, counsel, and leadership training in rituals, traditions, and spiritual guidance in Muslim faith matters. The contractor will conduct Jumah, counsel and give guidance to Islamic inmates population. The Contractor shall be a member of a recognized Islamic Imam and will be thoroughly familiar with all facets of the Islamic religious practices. The solicitation will be available on or about October 1, 2001, with a deadline for receipt of quotations on approximately, November 1, 2001. This procurement is set aside 100 percent for small business concerns. Requests for Quotations should be submitted in writing only. Telephone and facsimile request will not be accepted.
