Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking sources interested in responding to a request for quotes for the provision of Orthopedic Non-Personal services at the Federal Correctional Institution located at Pekin, Illinois. The awarded contract will consist of a base year plus two option years. The contractor will be required to provide 1 session per month for the inmate population located at the facility. The session will be 6 hours in duration. The contractor will make recommendations regarding consultation and treatment modalities in the area of Orthopedics. The contractor will be required to have a license to practice medicine in the state of Illinois and be board certified in Orthopedics and must provide documentation verifying professional credentials. Award of a contract will be based on price per session with qualifications having been met. The procurement will be set aside for small business concerns. The projected date for issuance of a solicitation is 10/04/01. The projected date for a contract award is 10/22/01. This will be considered a commercial item acquisition in accordance with FAR Pt. 12.3.
