Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The request for Quotes (RFQ) document incorporated provisions and clauses, which are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park has a requirement for approximately 3115 tons of 1-2 man rock, to be used for Riprap of ditch lines to prevent further erosion. The required stone shall be sound, durable, angular in shape; resistant to weathering, water action, and free from organic material. The size shall be not less than three (3) inches thick in its least dimension nor containing less than half (1/2) cubic foot in volume. The thickness of a single stone should be less than one-third its length. The material will be delivered FOB Hawaii Volcanoes National Park/Bird park gravel quarry, Hawaii National Park, Hawaii. The following FAR provisions and clauses are hereby incorporated into this RFQ: 52.212-1 (Oct. 2000), Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, 52.212-2 (Jan 1999) Evaluation Commercial Items: Evaluation factors are (1) price and (2) availability. The Government will make an award resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price, availability and other factors considered. Parties wishing to respond to this RFQ should provide this office with the following: a price quote, submitted on your company's letterhead or your standard company quotation forms, for the requested item showing the RFQ number, unit price, extended price, FOB, prompt payment terms, delivery time, and correct address. QUOTES MUST BE SIGNED. Each offer shall include a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3 (May 2001), Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, and their DUN & Bradstreet Number.
