Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Getinge/Castle, Inc. of Rochester, NY for the purchase of Marquet CMAX Battery Operated Surgical Table with Urology Setup. Must have longitudinal slide that eliminates the need for re-positioning or re-orientation for C-Arm access. This is critical for thoracic/upper thoracic. Must have hand held control system which allows repositioning of the table from almost anywhere in the room rather than one place. Purchase will include all delivery, installation and training as required. The Government believes that Getinge/Castle is the only company which can provide this type of equipment that is vesatile enough to meet the demands of all surgical specialties. This notice is not a request for quotes however, responses received on or before noon Oct 13, 2001 will be evaluated. Offerors responding to this notice must provide proof that their equipment will meet the requirements stated herein. Information must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer and at a minimum include equipment brochures, company literature, plus a list of at least three references from similar facilities who are currently using the suggested equipment.
