- Description
- The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has a requirement for data to assess risks in emerging market countries, and to identify relative risk levels associated with bank lending to industries in and across foreign countries (both emerging market and developed countries). The anticipated scope of work within the requirement will include, but not be limited to, providing key macroeconomic indicators and/or world industry data and reports. The macroeconomic data will be used to help identify country risk from an early warning perspective. The target of the data is fundamental macroeconomic stress on country rather than market risks. Key variables would address risks of currency crisis, debt default, and banking crisis. Mandatory key emerging market countries are Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Venezuela, South Korea, India, Thailand, Philippines, Taiwan, China, Poland, Hungary, and Turkey. On an optional basis, the OCC will consider a secondary, more expansive set of emerging market countries. The world industry data and reports will be used to assess the relative risk of different industries, both within and across countries, by examining fundamental factors related to industries and assigning relative risk ratings to industries based on those factors and/or by using market data to determine the relative risk level and the direction of that risk. On an optional basis, the OCC will consider industry level reports that convey background, direction of risks, and risks confronting a particular industry or industry groups. Any Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) proposed in response to the RFQ as a deliverable that is a commercial item (defined in FAR 2.101) must be represented as complying with the standards of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. Period of performance will be a base period from date of award through September 30, 2002, and two option periods of one year each through September 30, 2004. Offerors may quote on all or part of the requirement. The government may elect to award a single or multiple contracts to one or more sources for all or part of the requirement under this solicitation. Contract award is subject to availability of FY02 funds. The solicitation will be posted on the internet at www.FedBizOpps.gov approximately 10 days after the date of this synopsis.=20
