Description

The United States Air Force Academy intends to issue Request for Proposal (RFP) No. F05611-01-R-0859 to solicit proposals in support of the Introductory Flight Program at the Academy. This RFP replaces RFP No. F05611-00-R-0059. The Contractor shall be required to furnish all aircraft, equipment, maintenance (including spare parts, expendable items, lubricants, oil, and support equipment) and personnel, to provide up to 50 hours of flight training to Cadets and Lieutenants, and other students resulting in the issuance of a Private Pilot's Certificate (PPL). Performance period is a basic five-year period and one three-year option. Anticipated basic period is 1 Jun 02 through 31 May 07. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 611512 and the size standard is $18.5 million. This requirement is unrestricted (full and open competition). We anticipate issuing the RFP o/a 2 Oct 01 with a closing date o/a 15 Nov 01, utilizing the Government Electronic Posting System (EPS).
