Description

Rental of 280 pagers to include airtime/transmission service at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Quantity of 148 pagers will provide local service coverage (20 mile radius), quantity of 110 pagers will provide eastern coverage of NC, and quantity of 22 pagers will provide coverage for NC and SC. This is a firm-fixed price contract to be performed from 01 October 2001 through 30 September 2001. The proposed contract action is for supplies or serivices for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determinig whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Intended source is Page 21. Intended source is only source that has proven ability (Per SPAWAR Study) to penetrate building while also satisfying all environmental and FM interference concerns. See Note 22.
