Description
The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences intends to award a sole source purchase order to Luigs & Newman, Ratigen, Germany, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1) -- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is a commercial items purchase of all components necessary for the Luigs & Newman Patch Recording Workstation to include but not limited to the following: 1) 250-200-2001000 Shifting Table 240; 2) 210-100-0000010 Mini 25 Manipulator Block (2 ea); 3) 200-100-9002621 Control for 6 Axis; 4) 1066 Mikroskopstativ 2FS Plus; 5) 4523420000 Binokularer Ergonomie Fototubus; 6) 200-100-2000155 Infracontrast; 7) C7500-91 Hamamatsu CCD Camera MIT Digitaler; and 8) 200-100-9001311 Control for 3 Axis (2 ea). This equipment is a high precision system to provide necessary stability for patch recording of multiple neuroms at once. This system allows for a patch electrode to be replaced seveal times on one manipulator without disturbing the recording of a neuron on another manipulator. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 7 days of date of notice to Dee Lunney at the above address for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 7 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with the Luigs & Neumann. The NAICS Code/Size is 334516/500EM. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
