Description

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences intends to award a sole source purchase order to Ciphergen, Inc., Fremont, CA, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1) -- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for the purchase of the following commercial items: 1) S-200-001 Biomarkers Patterns Software (1 ea); 2) S-100-0010 Software 3.0 Site License (1 ea); 3) C-503-0006 Bioprocessor, 96 well (1 ea); 4) K-100-0001 Protein Chip Profiling Kit (2 ea); 5) K-100-0002 Protein Chip Fractionation Kit (10 ea); 6) PT01-0001 Basic Protein Profiling Training Course (1 ea); 7) PT01-0003 Advanced Seldi Training Course (1 ea); and 8) CNP Protein Chips (1750 ea). These items must be compatible with existing PBS II Seldi Protein Chip System #8-00073-860 as they are critical to the operation of this equipment. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 7 days of date of notice to Dee Lunney at the above address for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 7 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with the Ciphergen, Inc. The NAICS Code/Size is 339999/500EM. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
