- Description
- DESC: The United States Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission, United States and Mexico (USIBWC), El Paso, TX, intends to acquire the following Prescription Eye Protection on the basis of Other Than Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.301-1 from AO Safety. The requirement is for a firm-fixed price purchase order for Prescription Safety Glasses to designated USIBWC employees at various locations and should meet the requirements of 29 CFR 1910 (OSHA Standards) and ANSI Z-87.1 Standards as specified herein: 1) Customized Dispensing Services as follows: On-site Optician; ISO 9002 Certified; Local vendors for fitting within a 50 mile radius of USIBWC locations in El Paso, TX, San Ysidro, CA, Yuma, AZ, Nogales, AZ, Las Cruces, NM, Del Rio, TX, Falcon Heights, TX, Mercedes, TX, Presidio, TX, Laredo, TX, and Fort Hancock, TX. 2) Fitting is to be provided within the geographic areas noted above. 3) Warranty: One (1) year from date of purchase for Lens breakage, frame breakage, coating failure, and corrosion of any frame component with a "No Fault Remake Policy". 4) Delivery Schedule: Two (2) weeks or less from the receipt of order. AO Optical, 201 Country Club Dr., SE #1912, Rio Rancho, NM, is the only company who can provide adequate service along the United States and Mexico borders at each field office location within the states of New Mexico, Texas, Arizona, and California. Competition is restricted due to the ability to service the aforementioned locations along the United States and Mexico borders. No solicitation document is available. RFQ H-20-01 is assigned for tracking purposes only. Assertion or capability to provide compatible equipment must be submitted in writing to Dolores Hinton at the USIBWC, 4171 N. Mesa, Bldg. C-310, El Paso, TX 79902 by 12:00 Noon, Mountain Daylight Savings Time on September 21, 2001. Information submitted must clearly demonstrate both company and alternate product capabilities. Responses should include business name, tax identification number, Dun & Bradstreet number, point of contact, address, telephone number (including area code). This requirement is a 100% set-aside for small business concerns (applicable Commerce Business Daily Numbered Note: 1). The applicable NAICS Code for this procurement is 621320 with a small business standard of $5.0 million dollars.. The place of delivery and acceptance is the USIBWC, 4171 N. Mesa, El Paso, TX 79902.
